Default Pic of my new Low boost/ High boost switch (greddy profec b spec II)

In case anyone is interested, it cost like 5 bucks to make. Beats the hell outta greddy's 100$ plus switch. You can use your horn button, or any momentary push button (hazard button, other stock buttons, or just something from radio shack like this)

Yes I know the car is filthy..it's been sitting for a while

Very cool and discrete too. Too bad the way I shift my hand is on top of the ****, So, I'd be hitting the button all the time.

How does it work...like hooked up wise?

actually being a momentary push button, you have to push it down pretty hard to activate it. I can shift with my hand pressed down on top, and not hit it. The soft tissue in my hand pads it enough, if you can believe it. Other than smacking it with your hand you have to push it with your thumb....pretty cool.

In the back of the profec b and the spec II there is a jack, you use a mono plug (like from headphones, or a wireless cellphone kit) and wire it with a relay, the button triggers the relay and sends a millivolt signal to the box. It just takes a pulse to switch from low to high or high to low. Any voltage at all with do the trick.

you need a relay, 2 wires from the relay to the mono plug to the greddy box, one wire to ground, the other wire to the battery. The switch goes in the power wire. I can give you part numbers later, i'll have to look

nice location....I'd consider that a pretty "clean" install. I'd be willing to bet its original too.

yes that is the link I used, but the plug part number in that was for a smaller plug, I actually had to use a bigger one. maybe the difference in the spec I and II?
