Suspension question - opinions
Hi!
I have a question regarding my lowered coupe... I lowered it some time ago and salesman said that it will go 35 mm (1.6 in) lower...
After I put the springs I noticed that the car didnot go 35mm lower... so I went back to the car shop and the guy told me that I have to drive my car like month or two and it will settle down a little more...
Now after 4 months, I still have the feeling that it is not 1.6 inches lower than stock...
What do you guys think? Should I just go back and take the money back or this IS 1.6 inch lower than stock?

I went with shorter springs cos I don't need coilovers cos my car is my daily driver and is never meant to be for the track or racing of any kind... it was too high on stock springs so I decided to go with -35mm springs...

is it lower at all than stock... i am slammed with almost no wheel gap so everything looks high in photos to me... try to measure against another civic?
Well, i don't know anyone with stock springs... everyone either have coilovers or springs and most of the cars are slammed...
The thing is, I can get a refund ONLY if those springs DID NOT lower my car according to their specification... so I must proove that they didn't and I get money back or another springs...

they will lower themselves after some time, try doing lots of u turns or going in circles in empty parkin lots really fast to shift weight back and forth...also it's becase you have bigger rims....what are those 17's?...ull notice most of the cars u call "slammed" have 16s and under
It looks to be a tad lower than stock, and I agree with the larger rim comment. I don't know if it is a full 1.6" drop though, but it very well could be. I guess the thing to have done would be to have measured it before and after. What kind of springs are they?

Like I said, the rims are 15's... and springs are WEITEC... it is a German factory and they make great stuff...
I was thinking about H&R or Eibach but they are too stiff for my taste so I went with Weitec which are a bit softer than H&R and Eibach...

wierd though, same thing happened to me when i got my sprint lowering springs, it wasnt low enough i thought, but now 2 months later it looks just right....but u said u had it for 4 months....iono, from the pics it looks like the rims are too big, but if u say they're 15's i dunno, i got 16 inch rims running on 245/45/16 and my front wheels are tucked in just a bit and the back has no fender gap
Well, before I lowered it, my fist would go between the tire and the fender...
Now, it will go if I remove one finger...
To be precise, it seems that my car i lowered FINGER AND A HALF...

you should go back and tel them look u lowered it like 1 cm show them your car and the reciept which should say you bought it 4 months ago...
but yea, they do take time to settle in usually 1-2 months.
btw: who did the install?
oh yeah and nice ride btw....it would look hella nice if it were dropped a bit more...clean look
i say keep it that way outside but have lots parts inside like a sleeper

Thanx for your words about the ride... I love it too and put a lot of love and effort to mantain it properly and keep it from damage... It is 9 years old and every single part is OEM... never been in an accident and the paint is still from the factory... I just took off and painted side moldings, door handles, skirts and mirrors...
To the installation part: I installed them myself and everything went smooth... cut the bumpstops in half and everything sits where it should...
Maybe the reason is that I drive alone almost all the time... every now and then my wife and kid drive with me but 90% of driving I am alone in the car...
Cos I think the front is OK... the rear height is bothering me cos it looks higher than the front... maybe if I put some weight it will come straight...
