Will a 88 model teg d16 fit into an 89 honda crx? Any info would b greatly appreciated.

no...it'll fit into a 86-87....but doesnt bolt into the 88-91 chassis. you'll need a black top zc....

It is a dohc motor. The woman that has it said that i could have it. She just wants 2 get it out of her yard. Would it fit into a 87' civic hatch?

ok think of it this way, the 1 gen teg is based off the 84-87 civic chassis. so quite a few parts will cross over.

they are alot different the mounts are on the front of the block not the sides at all its weird

To summarize:

86-89 teg = 84-87 civic
90-93 teg = 88-91 civic

Swap stuff over as you wish, just do it within the same platform.

90-93 doesnt 'bolt-in'...it needs a mount kit.

so.... 86-89 teg = 84-87 civic/crx
88-91 zc = 88-91 civic/crx
