Hi fellows,
Just wanted to see how rare are the 97R. I got one. How many are still alive?

 

I know of 2 in NC. Jason(Fstasntz) on this board & anther owner at the coast (#155 I think).

 

I guess none from this board by the looks of it... Just let me put u back up top...
My buddy has a 97, 1 owner and the motor is rebuilt with Toda parts and Endyn parts... And i seen a 97 by where i work... So two to my list...

i use to see 8-10 97 R's back when it first came out, now all i see are yellow and black R's

 

OH, by the way, anyone in San Jose has a 97R, I haven't seen any 97R in the last two years, all are 98+, just want to see if we can meet and take some pics together

 

 

There's 2 by where you work. The one that was just sold from the dealership the other day, and the one that always driving around. So that's 3 that we know of.

I have only seen one here in Chicago, nice to see you other Chicagoans are seeing more. All I see is PY

I hadn't seen one in about a year, then saw a mint 1997 a few weeks ago. I think 30% were stolen/totalled. that is an awesome year! (although, I'd like a '98 myself).

I have a 97,,,Just went over the 23,000 mile mark....

 

I got number 429, saw 439 at the university parking lot. (So rare seeing a 97 that I thought someone was breaking into my car!!) Also know another 97 who lives near me, and number 416 (B18C5) on this board. Saw another 2 banged up 97s for sale last summer, plus another one at an ITR meet not too long ago.

The 97 are rare as hell, have only seen 2, yes 2 on the streets of the Bay Area, CA the last couple of years. I have seen plenty of white and black ones though.

 

Just want to remind everyone that my 97 is for sale, $18.5K. Someone please buy it and drive it like it was meant to be driven! AutoTrader just brings in lots of Looky-loos, although I have a few semi-serious leads.

 

i've only seen 2 97 R's since 97 here in san jose. if you wanna meet a 98R from san jose, then i'm your man
