not everyone has 7000$ to spend on a motor...i just have a z6 IM sittin around and we are just gonna put it on my friends motor. then we are turbo'ing it in a few weeks. Just picked up a T3/t4 sooo im sure it'll be just as fast as a K for less than half the price

Funny quote......... yet I disagree totally. You can get some nice hp out of a turbo'ed d series with some good management and tuning.
You have to swap that little "throttle wheel" because the y7 throttle cable doesn't fit when using the stock y7 throttle body and "wheel".
Anything is better than the y7 manifold.

Thanks da green machine!
Not the bracket, the little wheel that the cable attaches to on the throttle body itself. I didn't know this when I swapped my y7 manifold out for the y8 and had a headache for like an hour trying to find a way to route the cable so it would fit.
This swap is really simple if you plan it out and just reuse most of the parts that came on the y7....... not too sure how interchangeable the y7 parts are with the z6 manifold though, you're gonna have to find that out for yourself.

we did this to my friends 99 CX...
check your intake manifold and z6 manifold... the fuel rail might be different.
one has 3 bolts and the other has 2 bolts.
my friend said that it feels better on top end.

i just did the exact same swap on my y7 a couple weeks ago..
all i did with the throttle rotor was unbolt it and turn it , when you do this you have to do a little notching on the throttle body to make it work.. then just extend some wires and coolant hoses.. i made a plate to go over the iac valve because on the y7 its on the throttle body.. i also made my own throttle cable bracket.. i didnt like the angle the others had the cable at..
other than that its very easy..
oh and all the work is SO worth it man.. the z6 many kicks *** over the y7.. you will like it..
