whats up i have a 2.5" custom piping on my car with a 2.5" magnaflow oval muffler...exhaust makes the car feel good but it is too damn loud..it has that deep sound down low but up top in vtec it gets real loud and raspy....if i put a Integra Type R Muffler on my 2.5" piping how bad would my air flow be affected ???? and would it not give that raspy loud noise?? cause someone told me the magnaflow oval muffler is whats making it sound like that

 

the sound of vtec with an aftermarket exhaust can be heard miles away.

the type r muffler wont affect airflow much it may slow it down a bit but probably not noticeable.

do you have a resonator on your custom piping?? that will cut down the raspiness of if a bit

yes it is the muffler not just that one specifically. with the larger opening it acts as an amplifier to the exhaust so smaller is quieter but more restrictive the smaller you go

 

yeah. i have the EXACT same exhaust setup as you. and i got the same results with the raspy ****. i just threw on a resonator and it got rid of the raspiness

yea i think i need a resonator...i have a cheap ebay highflow cat it works for now...but that raspyness has to go
