bad vibration in b16-->89 CRX dx swap
I have a really bad vibration that shakes the whole car any time abovr 40mph. It is worse when i turn right and lets off some when i turn left. It does it during accelaration and gets noticably worse around 40mph, it also does it during braking untill i get down to about 10 mph. it always does it turning right if i'm going above about 15mph. Could the axle be the problem? or is it something else?
hmm i have the same problem too! but not wen accerlating or turning only wen i brake like he said, its vibrates big time! like the wheel or car is going to fall apart on me. i broke the passenger side axle before and i replaced it with a 90 integra ls axle with abs ring. could that be the problem?
axles, spindles, alignment, wheel bearings, balljoint and bushings (i guess these fit in with alignment)
you didn't change the spindles out did you?
another common problem is axle binding with cheap motormounts.

we put the car up on blocks in my shop with wheels off and got it to about 50 and nothing shaked noticeably, axle looked fine. this is a vibration alot worse than that of poor alignment from what i have seen and felt with it. and he has hasport mounts so binding is not an issue, the motor is solid. not tryin to jack the thread, im just puttin the info out there to help him get some answers.

I did lower the car on some $53.98 ebay special "JDM red" coil overs on stock shocks. It isn't dumped but it is lowered about 1.5 - 2 inches. Could this cause the axle to bind. I will look tomorrow at how the axle sits. It would be binding if the axle was straight out with no play right?
bump, i really need some help on this issue. i have no idea what it could be. I tightened everything and have taken both axles out and they both seem fine. It's not the wheels or tires because it did the same thing with a different set of rims...
sorry, didn't read that you had the hasport mounts.
assuming you have the hasport mounts and the right axles (90-93 teg) there will be no binding
i have another idea, is a lower control arm bent? i've seen that before, so it has to be at least kinda common if the previous owner (or maybe you? heh, jk) drove the car like an ***.
