yeah, actually i am looking at the new Falkens....they look sweet, and the wear on them is great and low........they look too good to be true
its not the tire its the wheel offset that will determine whether the wheel will stick out, i have 225/45/15 and they fit fine

Are you serious? The only "45" profile on 15" tires was on Toyo's and Kumho's 195/45-15.... Those are the only manufacturers that make that low of a profile and the tire should be about 21" in diameter. Which is about .9" lower than average 195/50-15"s. I was interested in them, but they could only find me the kuhmos for $95 each, which I can't afford at the moment.
I went with falken Ziex's 195/50-15" which have to be some of the best looking tires out there imo.
They bite ok for me. Don't need more than that at the moment. The desing is completely different from my dad's 205/60-15" ziex's. Exact same model but they look different.
btw, what kind of tire is that? Pics?

ok guy I'm new here and I need some advise, I bought rota slipstreams 15 X 6.5mm for my 1989 crx zc. Now I have couple of questions.
Question 1) which tire is good for track and daily driving? I'm thinking which tire I should get? falken azenis or hankook ventus hr11 h405.
Question 2) if I get 205/50/r15 would it rub on the fender? The 195/50/r15 i know nothing will happed give me a good idea on this one.
Question 3) Let's say i choose 205/50/r15 now i don't know what's the best drop setting for crx I was looking on those tokico hp suspension kit they only have 1.25 inch on front and on the rear 1.00 inch and if i get the 205/50/r15 and with tokico hp suspension kit would there be difference? I don't want to have camber problems and want to make sure would this setting will be great for track?
Please help me i appreciate your help.

Answer 1 - Depends on the user, and the fact you didn't say what you wanted to do with "track". Drag is different from Auto-X which is different from HPDE which is different from Rally. According to your suggestions, I'm assuming the middle 2.
Answer 2 - Depends on how low your car is currently setup at.
Answer 3 - Spring rates are your friend when looking into "drop settings". Camber is what happens no matter what unless you figure out someway to adjust the angle when you lower a car. And once again, without knowing what type of tracking or how competitive you want to be, and without proper seat time to actually figure out what you like / dislike it is sort of hard to make an adequate suggestion.
Sure feels great participating in a thread 4 years after the fact

im going for lap time not necessary beating a record I want to make it good handling on corners with not much under steer and body roll, cause right now this car is drop 2 inch low it has cheap coil overs and it's seas . like i said if i get tokico hp suspension kit and with 205/50/r15 would this be alright setting, and also if I leave it were in 2 inch drop and put 205/50/r15 would there be problems?
if you're lookin for grip azenis are the shyt but if your looking for great wear... they wear kinda fast, the soft compound doesn't last very long for daily driving. Don't get me wrong tho they wont wear out in 2 weeks or anything but we install alot for more serious drivers and a sh*tload of Ziex (i currently have Ziex on my car) for drivers lookin for decent grip and longevity
Azenis were the **** 3 years ago, they're not top dog anymore. The Kumho xs, dunlop star spec z1, bridgestone re11, toyo r1r and hankook rs3 are all better choices nowadays.
205/50/15 fit fine as long as your wheel's offset is +40 or higher. They will rub a little at full lock but nothing to worry about.

i assume you have B swap??
i had 205/50r15 on my crx with 15x6.5 rim 40mm offset...no issues, handled great. fwiw, i have 195/55r15 now on integra rims and they feel just as good. 205 were kumho and the 195 are falken ziex 512...GREAT tires and good price.

uh hankook makes 225/45/15, nitto nt01 comes in 225/45/15, michelin pilots come in 195/45/15, nexus makes 195/45/15...i have 195/45/15s on my 15x8 25offset wheels and am going to make some 205 50 15 azenis fit sometime soon. 205s should fit easily on some spoons right?
