If you get one that fits, then it's just plug and play. Should be a direct bolt-in. Three nuts on either side and pull out the cat and put the pipe in. Be prepared to get CEL's though.

No cels if you retain your o2 sensor with a bung that is welded to the pipe. My test pipe is basically just a resonator with flanges. Im sure if you cant get one somebody is selling one on here.

you can get a direct bolt in replacement off Ebay.
keep in mind that your car won't pass a smog test with it,and cops can pretty easily recognize it's not an actual cat if they look at it.two things to consider if it applies in your area.

There's a reason it's illegal - it's very harmful to the environment. I know this isn't going to change your mind, but at least other forum members who are thinking about it may reconsider.

acid rain and smog, worth giving your car five more horsepower?

# Hydrocarbons or volatile organic compounds (VOCs) - produced mostly from unburned fuel that evaporates

Sunlight breaks these down to form oxidants, which react with oxides of nitrogen to cause ground level ozone (O3), a major component of smog.

# Nitrogen oxides (NO and NO2, together called NOx) - contributes to smog and acid rain, and also causes irritation to human mucus membranes

just get a good high flow cat. respective companies such as magnaflow make decent ones. it'll give you maybe a couple horsepower, still legal, wont stink, or fireballs
