I am replacing my cams with BC spec 3 cams, and upgrading valvetrain to DPR springs, valves, and retainers. The block will be staying stock, and I won't ever run boost or forced induction.
So my question is should I just replace my head gasket with OEM, or look into something else like Cometic?
All help and opinions appreciated.

you are going to need way more compression than just stock for those cams.
For stock compression i would say grab some ITR/CTRs' or like skunk2 stage 1 or equivalent stage 1 cam. Or get your head milled like .030" while replacing the valve train or get a 1 layer head gasket to bump the CR up a whole point. Then you could get away with a stage 2 cam....but BC3's love compression....the kind that a stock b18c1 couldn't offer.

you are right about the compression, if it would be increased I would receive more gains with these compression hungry cams. But running these cams on an upgraded valvetrain will be fine for my block. There is threads on here where people have added the Buddy Club spec 3 camshafts without upgrading the valves or block and been fine. However I'm wondering what would be a good head gasket to use to raise compression, or should I just use OEM?
