Default URGENT HELP........Distributor wiring and axels

1)I'm doing a b16 swap in my 1996 hx coupe and the distrubutor plugs are completely different from the stock harness plugs. Can someone please send me a wiring diagram or instructions on how to connect this the b16's dist. to my stock harness?

2)The axels for my b16 do not fit into the stock hubs of my hx, what shall I do? Will an itegra gsr work for my set up?

Thanks

IF youre planning on using ODB1, swap the dual distributor connectors off the civic harness for the single-plug(odb1) connector form the b16. the injector plugs must be swapped also for the b16's.

ODB1 distributers have 1 connector,
ODB2 distributers have 2 connectors.

axles-this isn't very difficult. : 1) 94- 01 integra (with corresponding intermediate shaft)
-or-
2) 90-93 integra asles and intermediate shaft(replace the seal on the intermediate shaft side of tranny with 90-93 integra style piece.)
-or-
3) use del sol vtec and 99-00 civic si parts

Its an obd2 distributor with 2 plugs.........but we aren't sure how to wire it up to the stock harness.......we are aware that the inj plugs have to be swaped.

Could we just use the spindle from an integra if the axles aren't available?

All the wire colors on the distributor should be the same, just cut and solder. I just had to do it Monday installing a 2000 B18C in a 1996 DX hatch, using a 98 EX harness.

If it's a 2 plug distributor then it's OBD1, the same reason why the injector clips are different being that they are also OBD1. Simple solution would be to reuse your stock HX injectors so you don't have to switch the clips, they flow the same as the B16 injectors (240cc).

The wires aren't the same color..........thats the problem. Rewireing the injectors is simple enough but I need help with wiring up the distributor. The engine has P30 stickers and engravings on it.........isn't that the code for an OBD2 ECU.........maybe its an OBD1 distributor on an OBD2 engine. It has 9/4 near the manifold.

OBD 1 dizzy = 2 plugs
OBD 2 dizzy = 1 plug
I have a 99 ex harness and an OBD 2 dizzy with one plug and the harness 1 OBD 2 and has 1 plug but the plugs are different. evidently some civic ex's came with a different plug. mine has more of a recatngle shape with 2 rows of pins and the dizzy that came with the 99 B series has the square shape with 3 rows. I had to take the guts out of my EX (d series dizzy) and put it in the B series housing. It works for me. Does anybody know how to repin the more rectangle (2 row) connector with the square connector b/c I would like to do that sometime.
Thanks and hope this helped
p.s. I didnt have any issues with my injectors plugging in

The actual pins are not the same. You will need to cut the plug off with the wires. I just had to do this earlier in the week. I had a 1996 DX hatch, trying to put in a 2000 B18C, using a 1998 EX harness. The wire harness had 1 plug distributor, and the B18C had a 2 plug distributor. I compared the distributors side by side. First I tried to swap the guts, but that was too involved, and the igniter bolted in different. Then I noticed they had the same # of wired, with the same colors, in the same locations. So I tried to pull the pins out and swap just the connector. That didn’t work, the coil pins were too wide and the other pins clipped in differently. I ended up cutting the old D distributor plug off with the wires attached, and soldered it to the B distributor.
