Default Need help finding the right vented oil catch can...

I've been looking all over the internet, and I can't find the oil catch can I'm looking for. I'm looking for one that is a dual inlet, petcock drain on the bottom, 1 qt. capacity, with a filtered vent on top. I've seen Moroso ones like what I'm looking for, but they only have a single inlet. Anyone have an idea of who makes or sells exactly what I'm looking for? TIA

I found a couple on Ebay, dual inlets at the top with a drain plug on the bottom.

My Moroso works OK for me. I tee'd into the single inlet. (The one inlet is very large, better than 1/2 inch i.d., not sure of the exact dimension.)

Here's one with two inlets. Made by Dasani (a Coka Cola subsidiary), 20 oz., can be found for 99 cents if you're lucky. A one-liter version is made by competitor Evian.

note the unfavorable outcome of using said Dasani catch can.

The Endyn is the best there is IMO.

Absolutely true.. but really an unfavorable outcome of using b00st (Sorry Dr. Pooface).

The Endyn catch can is essentially a rebranded Moroso catch can with an additional inlet..

yea, but the endyn one comes with the breather tubes for the block which are modified prelude units, and all of the other bits and pieces that make everything go together easily.

Ehh... At $89.99 it doesn't look like it's that good of a deal to me. Here's a pic from their site for reference.

At $40 less I'd much rather go with the JAZ style can... Hehe, what if it melted though? Here's a pic of that one from RoadRaceEngineering.com....

And last but not least, JEGS does have the JAZ can that comes in black as well (same as above apparently, but the actual JAZ logo can be seen).. This one is $52.

Hehe, looks like a little robot...

now, ya'll correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks to me like several of the ones pictured here are NOT 1 qt capacity, as the original poster had asked.

It's an SCCA rule, has to be 1 qt minimum capacity.

Just thought I'd mention that in passing.

I bought this one but haven't installed it yet. The quality is really good - it is really well made.

If it doesn't show up, search for this, ALLSTAR ALUMINUM BREATHER TANK - #ALL36109 on the site. They are a good place to do business with, btw.

Except the hoses they give you are the same crap they throw in all the JDM catch can garbage products. They're not meant for vacum pressure, they're like garden-hose material to flow fluids, and they like to collapse upon a vacum pressure.

Went to Summit yesterday and picked up their version of the JAZ unit. It only comes with one inlet fitting, but has a second port. The drain is a 90 degree lever valve. About 4" round x 12" L. $29.99 in Red, Black or Blue (SUM-G1505). Has 2 1/4-20 screws to mount it. Just another idea

Correct.

In that case, better upgrade from a Dasani bottle to an old Mobil 1 bottle.

Tyson-I considered the sirt of solution you suggest. However, I wonder if the container is up to the task temperature wise. There ae some other cheap jugs out there including the large "water/drink" bottles used by hikers and sports sorts-very reasonably priced and the fittings could be 'barbed" from the HD or Lowe's plumbing department. Just use a reinforced hose (same place).

Actually this would be your best bet, but unfortunate they don't come in quarts. Spun aluminum though...

The very cheap SummitRacing one is indeed 1 quart capacity, so for $29.99 in three colors plus -6 AN fitting, not bad. Plastic and not aluminum, and no fancy stuff. If you're not into hard core racing expensive stuff, this might do.

http://store.summitracing.com/...&y=12

The Moroso one is also 1 quart and made of aluminum, but for your $69.95 you don't get an AN fitting, just an NPT one. Go figure! It looks a little crude to me.
