I bought a set of Clear lens Altezza's for my Crx. I wasn't really happy with the way they looked and I began to understand why everyone HATES them. Then it rained one day and I noticed water was inside and it was fogged up. I was pissed. I called the place I got them from and they said it was the Car that was leaking and not the lights and they wouldn't replace them. I was so mad I went outside grabbed a hammer and smashed the **** out of the lenses. I then proceeded to remove all the glass and do a Hell of a lot of bondo'ing and sanding. Here's what they look like now. the only problem is I scratched the red lenses pretty badly. is there Anyway to repair them? or should I just live with it?

Live with it or find a junkyard. I would definately rather have stock over those, even though those aren't quite as bad as other altezzas.

Altezza's , Get Stock or some kind of other conversion. don't go altezza please!!! if u can get it repaired and sell em on ebay for like 40 bux or something or like sell it to a mexican wanabe racer. LOL, they love those things. Well in Chicago they do

 

Throw those away and buy my stock 88-89 tails I have.

You can repair it by replacing them with the stock tail lights.

 

and put some shoes on you hillbilly.

Sell them and put on stock ones. Will look way better.

the reason they are hated is because they serverly injure both the credibility of all people who drive crxs, and the look of the car itself.

get real tails and take pride in the fact that people with camaros are now suffering from the plague that crx ethusiasts used to fall victim to:



and when you smoke the v6 camaro with horrific spaceship tailights and blue undercar lighting kit that he saw in need for speed underground, it makes it all that much more special.

 

Please get rid of those, as a matter of fact, throw them in the trash.

 

You can get plastic polish at most auto parts stores or boat supply places. If that won't fix them then they are shot.

 

I say take that hammer and finish the job (keep smashin)

 

haha, i saw this thread on dragva too. Id try sanding them with some really fine grit sand paper(1500+?) maybe then hit it with some plastic polish.

it's up there with "Pep Boys Aluminum Wing How-To!"

just get stockies, you can use 3M Plastic polish, but you could also use a bat and they'd look just as good

 

Wow... looks like you got pwnd by altezzas.

 

Why do they always put lenses and **** in the center(aside from the reverse lights)? There aren't even lights there.

 

dang, haters, i think if you made the center piece better lookin, haha, just filled it in or got the stock one back in the bug eyes wouldn't be too bad

 

those altezza lights look like spider eyes to me...

Yea... fill/flatten the center section and fill/flatten the area around the circles and paint to body color.. they might look like those "Afterburner" tails.

Anyone remember those?

The best way to repair them would be to wipe them down with some gasoline, then light them on fire, smile and watch them burn, then install some stock tail lights
