Muffler right after Cat then downturn - anything wrong?
Muffer right after the Cat with a turn down I do see a problem with sound with that. Dont drive with your windows down though. you will die from the Carbon Monoxide! Hotrods do the same thing, and its just the same if they had the pipes going all the way to the back.
You really think it will be that bad? The fumes shouldn't be any problem while driving. Maybe at idle or in stop and go.
Don't those side exit people have trouble with fumes?
The reason I want to do this is because I am poor and can't afford a real exhaust.
Like I said, it is not a daily driver - just now and then...

it would suck no doubt. Why not have it exit right infront of the passanger rear tire?? at least its pointing away know what i mean??
Why not just run a cut out?? its a deverter to devert the exaust to stright pipe when a cable is pulled.

I was thinking of doing that but I was worried about the heat on the tire. I guess it would be okay since a lot of cars seem to have it that way. I just didn't want to have a home made side exit ricer thing going on. At least with the down turn you wouldn't be able to see it.

the heat would not hurt the tire, unless its touching it. In the old days street racers purposely aimed there dual exhaust at the rear tires to keep them heated, sticky and ready to race at all times.
