Default JDM OBD1 P30 ECU..hondata?

I am taking my car in to get tuned..but the tuner says in he is not sure if my p30 ecu will be able to be work with the hondata s100..he told me to get a p28 and go from there..does anyone know if this is true or whats the diference..I know no p28 wont detect knock sensor but I kind of want to keep my p30 and getit tuned with the s100 chip and keep my knock...please help..running out of time

yes u can chip jdm p30s to work with hondata, just harder than the usdm ecus
