Default Headlight Brigade Enduro... anyone here doing this?

The North Carolina Region, SCCA
Kumho Tires’ Charge of the Headlight Brigade
A 13-Hour Endurance Race
VIRGINIA INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY
November 4-5, 2005

http://www.ncrscca.com/Pdf/200...s.PDF

I know it's a long way off, but just wondering if any H-Ters are planning this far ahead.

$750.00 for 13 hours divided by at least two drivers. What's the entry fee for LimeRock these days?... sounds like a bargain to me (not including tax, licensing fees or you know stuff like tires and brakes and fuel... oh my)

Thinkin' about runnin the ITR in ITE.

I can only go about 1 hr 10 min on a tank so we won't be competitive.

Did it last year and had a blast (it always fun when you win).

I'd love to do it again but its just not in the budget.
If anybody wants to offer me a ride I can pretend I'm some sort of hotshoe for a weekend. I do have a Sparco ya know.
.

Scott, who highly recommends this race but warns that it aint easy and takes months of planning.

We should be there in something TBD. Maybe even 2 cars.

We'll probably be there again this year, minus the aforementioned hot shoe.

The car is big steps further from it's "bad SSC car with a trunk kit" status, as of this week - diff, FD, ABS removal, addition of brake bias valve, wheels that are 10 pounds ligher (each), and Hoosiers for the Summit Pt 12 hours. It's a shame Scott won't get to flog it.

Kirk (who'll call Scott if someone drops a lot of cash on us)

EDIT - I say "probably" above because it's kind of dependent on rental drivers. If you are interested, drop me a note.

Yeah, do that.
Diff and FD and 40lbs less rotating mass... I guess I'm through beating up on the fridge in my ITC car. The diff alone should be worth a couple of seconds at VIR (that car REALLY likes to lift its inside front).
It was fun while it lasted.

Scott, who says "Now who wants to sponsor last years ITB Champ?"

I don't think I can afford the oil bill! Let's see, 13 hrs should be about 20+ quarts ...no kidding. At the end of each stint, I'll probably run out of gas and oil at about the same time.

May I suggest a pact?...perhaps Track Rats and Purple Cobras.... once fierce rivals, could put their deep hatred aside and join forces to conquer this 13 hr test of man and machine in the Whit ITR? Interested? I'll bring along the my crew chief and eternal fountain of ITR knowledge; Mr.Willard.

Man, we'd own 'em!

Be careful. You won't leave yourself any excuses.

Scott, who didn't leave himself any excuses and now realizes that that's sometimes inconvenient.
