Default FireFox AFFF or FE36

FireFox Industries is a Pittsburgh based specialist in auto racing fire supression systems. Located a few miles east of the city , near my shop , they offer club racers and others an assortment of solutions for on-board fire systems. We visited them yesterday and are quite impressed with what they do and the pro teams they supply. Yes, us amateur types are also taken care of. What makes their system unique (patented) is that they use a bladder in the cylinder instead of a pickup tube. They also do not fill with Halon. Although the on-board system is NOT required in IT it is certainly a good idea to consider.
For production class and IT/HC cars they do have a 5 pound bottle and plumbing in a kit that uses AN fittings and 304 stainless tubing. The nozzles are also proprietary.
Something we learned is the fact that 90%+ of all race car fires happen in the engine bay. The recommendation is to plumb that area since one would be attempting to exit the car anyway. I did ask about putting a nozzle in the cockpit and it is an option.
The question I pose for those familiar with both AFFF and gas is which do you prefer and why. FireFox prefers the foam as it is indeed faster acting and longer lasting versus the gas. Not only that their foam is biodegradable and leaves no residue on the racing surface. Check out their website http://www.firefoxind.com.
