Default Take a look!!!

This might be stupid but I was thinking why do people buy the JDM cluster that says 180 kph, when USDM says 120 mph.

I just wonder is it because it says 180 kph? does this makes you think that when you are going 180 kph you are going 180 miles per hour faster?

just wonder because if you do the math

56 kilometers per hour is about (35 mph).

if you are going at lets say 224 kph (you are still only going 140 miles per hour)

there is an eg cluster that reads 220 kph vs 180 one.

so if you get pull over by a cop and your JDM cluster reads 112 kph are you gonna think of ****! I was going way over the limit 112kph, when you are actually only going 70mph.....

point of the thread is what do you think about this?
I'm not making an argument on JDM vs USDM cluster is just a thought and want to research on why people buy it..

Does it make you think you are going faster....

JDM bling . Get a Canadian speedo that tops of at 220kph or so. Like a stock civic can go that fast . I guess Honda just wanted to use it.

It's the JDM bling, like every other useless modification that has to do with JDM. BTW, this should be on GDD.

Not all JDM stuff is useless. I mean are u going to stay with a b16 that put out under 160whp. or go with a JDM b16 that put out 200whp. What do u think, And with the clusters they are just for bling bling. They do help somehow someway. JDM is bad ***

I ment in the gauge cluster...my 94 CX doesn't come with a tach in the cluster so that is the main reason that I'm buying the SiR cluster.

most people get them just cause they jdm and sometimes look better than the usdm ones. if you have one of these you can easily find out how fast you are going, lol

Why not just swap your speedo into a Si or Ex cluster?

the JDM cluster iluminates amber which is nice on the eyes.

I rock one, I like it, so what.

But thanks for explaining why I get tickets for driving too slow, I didn't even think about the fact that its kph....phew

oh, as far as I know, most highway speeds are 70 mph...even though we all do about 85+ at times....only time you should be driving faster than that is at the track....don't be a rice boy
