well here is the problem .. ..

car --- 95 GSR

Temp needle keeps jumping around and the upper rad hose was getting hot and hard while the lower one was cold and hard.... went basically to the H and jumped around back and forth so i turned on the heat and drove home and made sure it didn't overheat

Took the thermostat out so i can see if that is the problem .. well it still jumps up and down but only runs a little bit cooler with no thermostat....

Wondering if its a bad head gasket or it has something to do with anything else it might be

 

Could very well be the headgasket...

 

Yep, could be a HG. Are you smoking? Oil in the coolant, ETC?

no oil in the coolant .. a little smoky when i start the car but after its no smoke ..

car ran fine for like 3 weeks after i put this head on ... (reused head gasket with copper spray) and all of the sudden it started to do this ..

 

do not re-use head gaskets

 

reusing a hg is a terrible idea!!!
