Default will a b18 5 speed trans work in my 99 b16a2 si???

i have always heard that any b series trans would work with any b series engine i have a 99si and 3rd gear went out i am thinking of replacing it with a transmission from an ls integra. Is this possible and a good idea or will it dampen my cars performance. Also what will differences be. Thanks for your feedback

it will work as long as its from 94 or up but putting that on your car u might as well have not have bought an si. it will make it soo much slower, like rediculously slower. i suggest u just rebuild it. the si is a great tranny because of the gear ratios

Will fit...but you wont want it, because as said, the gearing is much longer/taller and your car will accelerate much slower
