how to use koni warrenty?
i have a set of koni yellows(blown in the front) that i bought from a guy local and didn't come with any warrenty registration papers.
what is the proper way to get the warrenty fulfilled?
what is the low-tech way to get the warrenty fulfilled?

The warranty is ONLY good to the original purchaser with the orignial sales reciept.
I might remind you that Koni technicians are on Honda-Tech all the time looking for any Koni related threads/questions. If your planing some shaddy buisness (Low-Tech), you may want to keep it off H-T...

by low-tech, i mean loophole not shady.
there is a way around having the original reciept or registration of the car, not that i fit in to the requirements... but if not, then i could just find one of the local guys here to send them in as his with his reciept and registration.

When planning to commit fraud, it is probably better not to announce it in a public forum where the the key people can see it. Especially when that forum is sponsored by the people you are trying to deceive.

If you paid via credit card, just dispute the charges, and get your money back. It will be up to him to prove they were in the agreed upon condition after that. This is why I only pay for things w/ credit cards.

But what they are saying is that you need to have the original receipt in order for the warranty to be used. That kind of sucks in your situation, but see if you can't get the receipt from the guy who sold it to you.

That doesn't apply to the second owner. You should get your money back from they guy who sold them to you. He should have also send them to Koni for service before selling them, but I guess he took you for $$$ instead.

The KONI warranty is a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship and against wear out for as long as you own that car registered for street use. The warranty does not cover damage to the parts caused by misuse, misapplication, installation, motorsports, etc. The warranty does not include mounting bushings. If you determine you have a defective damper you can either contact the company which you purchased the unit(s) from or contact KONI North America directly at warranty@koni-na.com or 859-586-4100. To process your warranty, we will require a copy of the purchase receipt and a vehicle registration. We will generate a return goods authorization (RGA) and can replace the dampers in advance at your discretion. </TD></TR></TABLE>
