Searched: possible FAQ B series alternator and belt ef
FAQ:
So you are enjoying your ef b series powered hatch for a while and uh oh your alternator dies. If you have Hasport mounts, I do not know about the other companies, the alternator you need is from a 90-91 integra, and it's respective belt. I bought one shorter along with the integra belt, but the shorter one wasn't needed.
Removal/Installation: Don't even bother trying to take the alternator out from up top, unless you want to remove your MC or brake booster. NO matter how close it came, I could not remove the alternator from up top.
SAVE YOURSELF SOME TIME AND ....take out the intermediate shaft like you know you're supposed to do from the start
.
It comes out like buttah after that.

I ran into a big problem with doing my swap. My alt. from my d-series was modified so I could run a larger stereo system. I went to go and put the d-series alt. in and it won't fit. Then I try and put the old b-series alt. in and that won't fit either.
My main concern is when I want to run the stereo I need the d-series alt. due to the fact that it was built to put out more than the standard d-series alt. I tried switching the pullies but one is larger than the other and won't let the pully spin freely.
Any suggestions other than get a new alt. built, I paid almost $400 for the built d-series alt.

better to just use the b series alt. there are several issue with using mix matching since they mount diffrent, and have diff size pulleys.
