SRS light on all the time, CEL comes on when on highway
just picked up a 95 VX with a B18B. The SRS light is on all the time, any indeas? I dont want the airbag blowing up while I'm driving down the road. Gimme some ideas and I'll check.
The other item that bugs me is the CEL when I driving down the highway. Stop and go in the city, it never comes on. My normal drive to work in the morning, and home in the afternoon, involves 55-60 up and down some gentle hills on the highway, and the CEL comes on. Get home, turn the car off, check codes, nothing. I'm puzzled.

but honestly, i bet like 40% of us on this board are driving around with our srs lights on..me included.
as for your codes...i dunno. more detail is needed...

If the airbag light is on, it just means that someone disconnected it at some point and its still connected, just saw an error. If its BLINKING i believe, then you may have a problem. Oh and to my knowledge, if your CEL is on on the highway, its probably an O2 sensor code. Change your fuel filter too.
Thanks for the info guys! Just getting into driving a swapped hatch, so I'm trying to learn as much as I can with all the little differences. Used to have a 95 GSR which was alot different. The SRS light is just on, not blinking, so I won't worry about it for now. I'll get the O2 sensor checked this weekend, and the fuel filter.
It's a whole new world of driving a swapped hatch. Lots more fun than the GSR was!
