Brake Pad Replacement Question
its about that time.. and in the past ive always just bought regualr pads.... im pretty tired of the brake dust.. i read that the EBC Green Stuff pads are low dust... my primary concern is stopping power equal to or greater than stock (obviously) but besides that LOW dust.. and LOW noise.... the noise im most flexable on.. just nothing really bad.. im open to suggestions.. its a 98 civic ex... thanks in advance for the help and info...

Re: Brake Pad Replacement Question (oc_civic)
the ebc pads should be equal to if not greater than stock ( i would say much greater). You have to think, the ebcs are aftermarket pads made for hi temp and endurance. They should be perfect for you

I have a 98 ex and OEM recommends using ceramics ( I think they might come with that from factory) anyways I bought some hawk ceramics from tirerack.com for $57 and supposedly they are some of the best...

I've been using Hawk HPS pads on my 98 ex for over a year now...they're great. Even tracked them for a day...gripped awesome. Fairly low dust and occasional squeak...but very rare. Hawk HPS

I had green stuff and i havent seen a pad dust that bad before, compaired to OEM.
I switched back to OEM after I ran though a set in 8 months.
diffrence between..... slightly better grip, not worth it in my opinion.

If you wan't low dust, go with OEM. Even my raybestos "semi-metalic" are pretty low dust. Any perfromance pad will dust more than OEM...
Ceramic pads are really dusty (IMO). I have Axxis Ultimates (ceramic & kevlar) in the rear & raybestos semi-metalics in the front (I don't recomend running grippier pads in the rear). When it comes time to wash the car, my rear rims are pretty black while the fronts look "relativly" clean.
