Default will i blow up my alternator?

I just bought a Hella light kit for my hatch, which will have a jdmb18c in it shortly. The lights run on 12 volts, but i dont know anyhting else about LOAD . Is there something I can do to my EK hatch that will make sure the 5' tach, Headlights and Hellas all are working OK(as bright as possible) without putting TOO much load on the alternator/battery? Again i dont know anything aobut this electrical accessory stuff, but I DO know this. My '99 EK JDM B18C Hatch : doesnt have a stereo OR radio of ANY type. It has a factory gauge cluster of course, a 5 inch monster autometer tach, and factory tail and headlights. I also DO have Air Conditioning. Any tips or hints will be a great help. The guy at Summit Racing said that I was probably going to be okay.....but if i was going to do something about it.....i might wanna buy a better alternator or something.....i was like "ummmm.....okay"......."lemme check honda tech....thanks for the help in advance guys.....always!

Of course he wants you to buy extra stuff you don't need. Money in their pockets.
With all the stuff you said you're going to be running you'll be fine. An HID kit doesn't put THAT much more load on an electrical system. I'd be more worried about melting my stock headlight wiring harness wires before blowing out the alternator.
There was a thread floating around here a while back. It was called something like "THE OFFICIAL HID thread" or something like that. Look for it. It was a monster of a thread.

actually HID's are lower wattage then your average aftermarket buld. they only run on 35 watts of power, headlights harnessess shouldn't be a problem at all.

yea, but guys, i couldnt afford the kit i wanted , so it ISNT HID.......the one i wanted was the closest set to REAL Rally cars....like 1200 bux for the kit. Those were HID.......mine arent. I know the XENON lights/HID run on lower wattage......thats also why im worried. But thanks again.

Ahhhh, make-believe HID kit. Gotcha. Different story now. Find out how much juice this kit is going to be pulling and you should be able to get an answer. Again, if I were you I'd still be more worried about melting my wires than pulling too much power. There are people that run 3, 4 or even more amps in their cars on stock alternators. You'll be fine.
