Default Apex'i Filter Installation?

Okay, I've decided I want an Apex'i Power Intake...only problem is, from what I've seen the only thing you get is the filter element itself, no flange or way to mount it to your existing intake piping. Does anybody out there have pictures or instructions on installing this, specifically on a factory intake arm? I saw one thread about using a plumbing flange and drilling, but I think it was for an aftermarket pipe.

Are there bolt holes in the filter to mount up to a stock intake arm? Someone out there show me some pics, help me out!

By the way, yes, I searched.

you definately are gonna have to rig up some sort of flange to clamp this thing up to your intake arm.. i was thinking first a flange thats welded to a tube you could clamp to the stock intake arm

mine came with like an elbow and a little metal piece that you can attatch to the side of the engine bay.. I just kinda double stick taped it down so it wouldn't vibrate beacuse its just easier to take in and out if i need to move it.

Fits directly into the stock intake arm

i like it.. great sound!

Dude, its a friggin intake filter. Its pretty self explanitory. Stick the filter in the end of the pipe or get a hose clamp and tighten it. sheesh.

If you want to use your stock intake arm, all you have to do is buy the prelide specific apexi power intake and it should come with everything that you need to install it.

I've seen so many controversy about this filter. Is it actually better than your regular old filter?

At over $65 for just a filter, it's a hard for me to justify the purchase, especially since it'll be on the bottom of my CAI, and it'll get dirty quick.
