Default APEXi filter adapter

what di dyou guys use to adapt an apexi power intake to yoru aftermarket intake? i've been to a few hardware stores and can't really find any flanges that will bolt to the filter and have an extension to clamp a 3" dia (or whatever injen intake's are) tube onto that and then onto the intake tube?

I think it needs a special adapter...since the adapter needs to screw into the apexi power intake rather than clamping round anything. I ordered my power intake from UK EBAY, but the guy was selling from hong kong, i didnt know about this adapter issue though! went round loadsa hardware stores, none of the adapters were the axact size, had to get back in contact with the guy and order the adapter to come from hong kong, another whole delivery cost, like £23 extra just for that adapter!!!

so yeah, try contacting people who sell the intake they should have it. Else search for the guy selling apexi power intake on ebay, i found it on uk ebay, but he was selling from hong kong anyhow. It should be the axact diameter, with 4 screw holes, either in circular format or rectangle, since there are 8 holes on the power intake, to fit either set.
cheers

Oh that's about the most shamefull thing I've ever seen in an engine bay.... And in a Supra no less...

I don't know about the flared rubber hose the guy has, but almost every hardware store should have the toilet gasket... Just ask... They use to come with a large beeswax gasket on them, but I think they use silicone now. Point being, it will likely be in a box insted of just sitting in one of the bins. You could probably substitute some kind of silicon hose from a company like vibrant. If all else fails, the almighty http://www.mcmaster.com will surely have what you need.

Good luck... And be carefull... If you drive south of the equater your intake charge will swirl the other way.

What he used looks like something you can pick up from Home Depot in the plumbing department.

And I dont see why what he did was "shameful", piping is piping no matter what it was intended to be used for. I think that guy had a good idea.
