Default D1 car hit 10's @ cmi with a stock motor

Just wanted to give up a shout to Norman and the D1 guys. After laying down some consistant low 11's, he layed it down with a 10.9 in the quick 8 semi finals. I dont think many people watching realized, but he did it with a stock block and head. the final against team mate Coleman in the itr front end del sol made for a real close race, head to head all the way, with Coleman taking the light at the very end

Stock block Goodness

Was D1 the team that was trying to make a clothing line called "Menage'"? Just curious cause' I got a "Menage'" sticker handed to me about 3 years ago at a CMI event and I thought it was a D1 crew member. If so, how did the clothing business go?

It is "Manifest Clothing"...it's not our Clothing line but it's a company that made shirts for us...and is still contributing to our team. They are a Urban clothing line...pretty popular among Japan and Eurpon...kidna funny casue they are based in S.F.

Anyways...congrats to the stock motor wonder Norm Tong...

Off records Norm...it's the tuner not the driver...hahaha

Also gotta give props to Andy for doing another great job on tuning
Now when to celebrate?

Haha, thanks guys... You three are just bad *** drivers. I thought I'd be able to go ten's the first time out too like Mike, but it turns out its not that easy... Even with my car that supposedly drives itself...

Thanks everyone for the support. The formula for finally hitting 10s was from a whole lot of determination, inspiration, motivation, and of course praying the motor don't blow.

Setup:
Stock GSR B18C1
Stock Head Gasket
Stock Type R Head (including cams and cam gears)
GSR Transmission
FAST Fuel Management
Precision SC61
Tuning expertise from Andy (SEFIxCivic)
Guidance/help from my teammates and friends

Nice. Are you running 18psi on stock rods, and pistons? How much does your hatch weigh?
