No, no ...you're taking it the wrong way.
ITB's are definately not for beginners, and they're usually one of the last things you do, after the bigger camshafts and the higher compression.
Usually, if people are interested in those, they already know what they're getting into. Sorry if my initial post was too blunt - long day.

I think he has a thin skin personally.
if you don't know anything about ITB's, then the suggestion to stay clear of them is a wise one. From what Lip says, they require a standalone computer and tons of tuning in the majority of cases, although I head AKH will provide you with a programmed ECU...how good is that? an ECU not programmed on your car on a dyno?....if you are not an a1 mechanic , you better be an a1 engine tuner and programmer....

Agree'd. ITB's are not for the beginer, or even novice. I wouldn't even want to use them on the stock computer but rather one where I could tune per cylinder
Motec ?
And I'm not talking the exhausts.

Isn't Lip using DFI?
With the ITB's, they aren't even close to being Streetable...one of those things to stay away from...

It's the difference between a race motor and a street-car motor. There's a give\take.

Hah, don't take me as a moron...but the reason I said they aren't 'streetable' is because there's no filter and you could suck something bad into your motor...daily driving it everywhere...Bad Choice of words probably...
ITB's aren't 'Street Practical'.

Not hardly. After you're done physically installing them you have to worry about vaccuum, which is not a concern with a standard intake manifold.

ITBs arent that hard to tune
they do cost major bling bling
and you should def think higher compression, cams, b20/vtec, before you think about itbs.
Shoulda been at Expo I helped Christian tune his. they sound very cool
