What RPM Should I Launch at????
wuts up im planning on going to e town this weekend...last time i went i got a 14.8 Once and the rest of my runs were 14.9's on shitty *** almost bald street tires....i was planning on going down there this time with brand new Bf goodrich drag radials but i didnt get them in the mail yet so i think im going to use 2 of my friends Brand New Falken Azenis tires on his Si Rims....alot of people told me Falken Azenis tires arent meant for drag racing on the track but ANYTHING is better than the tires i have now... my question is what RPM would be good to launch at on these Falken Azenis ??? and is it really necessary to heat up the tires?

so u mean like 3.5k-4k or 4k-4.5k rpms? cause i think anything lower than that would bog on the falken tires this will be my second time at the track btw
I'd say launch at 5-6k, just don't "DROP" the clutch all at one time, feather off of it so the tires are just barely grabing (ie. maximum acceleration), and try and get up to your powerband and stay in it for as long as possible. Rev slightly higher than your powerband, so you can drop back down in next gear and still be in or near it (depending on your gear ratios, etc).
