Need help in finding the hoses for an AEM cold air intake....
I just bought an AEM intake and I need to find hoses to connect the piping together with the clamps obviously and I can't seem to find them anywhere ! I thought it would be a 5 minute job but I was wrong... Home Depot didn't have them...not Lowes (is like Home Depot) I don't know where else to check.... Please help....thanks
All you need is one hose. I am not going to be very technical in my description, but trust me it works.
All you need is a slightly larger hose segment that is about 4 inches long (or there about). The reason you will only need the one hose is that you can easily use all the stock parts. The best way to to it is to keep the stock breather hoses and piping. Take the part of the piping that dumped into the stock intake tube and line it up with the little post in the AEM intake. It basically will fit snug inside the hole. By doing this you will only need a small section of tubing to cover it, then place a clamp on either side. By doing that you will not have to worry about changing out the stock parts and it is really nice if you need to put back to stock or for dealer visits.
Since I almost confused myself just get a small sectin of hose and use it to connect the stock piping to the small inlet on the AEM intake and clamp at both ends.
Good luck!
