4th Gen: Unit all the way to the right in dash
Alright so I'm trying to find some places to mount my boost gauge and A/F gauge. I'd like to keep the interior clean looking and so I'd rather not use an A piller pod. So anyways I started taking the things out of the dash and once I took the smoked section off of the fuel/temp gauge thing there was a thing on the far right side. It's white but has a black box connected onto it. Anyone know what this is?
The circle part is where it was

Here's a pic of it

Has a connector to it also.
Edit:
Thought it might be the unit to control the clock but I can still change it w/o it being connected =\

I used the empty space above my radio and made a plate to mount them, it came out pretty well. I wanted to mount my wideband o2 up there, but I didn't know what it was so i left it and put it in my trash can so I can flip up the lid and have it "dissapear" Post pics when you are done!
what you have circled is the dashlight brightness control unit according to the prelude elctrical troublshooting manual.
Alright thanks for the help everyone. I figure I'll extend the wires for it and mount it somewhere else and then mount my gauges in that spot.
Max you got pictures of yours mounted? I'd like to see it.

Here ya go!

as you can see, I moved my radio to the bottom and fabbed a plate (which I might do again because it has a scratch in it and i'm a perfectionist
) and then I cut the back off the trash can and mounted my wideband o2, which I can flip the lid up and make it "disappear", its pretty stealthy
Let me know if you need any more help!

I might just eliminate my a/f gauge and take that approach in the tweeter, I wanted to try it before so what better time then now? haha.
It's pretty simple. Like anything.... just take your time. The hardest part is keeping the "mesh" from fraying. I experimented with junk yard pieces at first... and found the best way is to cut from the inside without cutting the mesh, and then once you're ready to install the gauge, cut an X into the mesh so that when it slides through it will pull everthing with it making it stay tight.

Yea, I also might eliminate my af gauge and put my boost gauge where my cigarette lighter is since I don't use it. I think it would be more even, not just having a stray analog gauge in the speaker or something, What do you guys think?

I'm gonna set up an Oil pressure gauge in that same spot soon. (cigarette lighter) I just need to quit workn' on other peoples shiz and work on my own instead. If you get to it before I do, you should post pics and let us know how it works out. Cheers.
BTW. I think that a boost gauge in the speaker grille would make more sense than in the cigarette lighter just because your eyes wouldn't have to stray as far away from the road. Food for thought.

Well, since my wideband o2 is in the trash can, I figured it would blend better. I will let you'all know asap when I do the gauge, I've been workin on other peoples **** too, trucks and crap. I need to get back to mine

Haha, no nothing is wrong with it, can't you see it hidden in my little trash can? I just want my gauges all in one place.
