I need traction
Turn down your boost or get some decent street slicks (M&H
) then... It's either that or get yourself an extremely nice, probably overkill EMS with traction control (Motec, etc.) or an MSD Digi 7+ programmable ignition. I don't think you realize that if you're only spinning first and second, you're in okay shape. With a decent amount of power (even on low boost), you shouldn't be hooking. Most high compression NA street motors (with less but more instant power) aren't even going to have traction there. Here's a stupid vid I made last year of a few of the SFWD/T4 cars that Scott and I have built. They're ALL NOT running full boost and you can see how fun traction is. Each of these cars on full boost will break the tires loose in 5th at 100mph+ mph if you want. I'm not trying to brag or anything by any means, you just need to see that what you're dealing with "isn't" that big of an issue...

haha, I still don't think you'd have that great of traction with a 2200-2500lbs chassis...
