Default I messed up

This weekend i changed my oil and overfilled it by 1/4 quart. Anyhow, I was driving for about 20 mins and it started sounding like a train. I went back and let some oil out. The car still sounds a like train. What can happen when you overfill the crankcase? Should I try replacing the plugs?

Unfortunetly giving your car to much oil is just as bad as not giving it enough. By over filling it you run the risk of the oil not flowing properly and causing proplems.

It sounds like an 8 cylinder beast. It does it around the start of every gear then returns to normal. It only does it when I accelerate.

my buddy added 4 litres of oil to his 4 banger mustang once. You should've seen this thing smoke....holy ****! I can't even explain how much smoke was coming out of his exhaust. We drained 8....yeah thats right 8 litres of oil out of it, changed the filter, put in new oil and it was fine. He drove it with 8 litres of oil in it for a good 30 minutes.

Yeah, I usually overfill mine by about 1/4 to half a quart at each oil change and I have yet to have any problems. I think your problems begin somewhere else.
