Default raising my bike back up...questions

hey guys im raising my bike back up. i already ordered the new brackets to do so (stock ones) but for now im gonna raise it as much as i can with the aftermarket ones. its the triangular pieces with 3 different holes. my question is is there anything special i need to do other than just take the bolt out and move it back to the farthest hole? do i need to have someone lift up on the tail while im doing this...like will the bike slam down as soon as i remove the bolt? im very good with tools so this shouldnt be a problem...just wanting to get a heads up before i do it tom. thanks in advance!

Are you raising rear ride height, or are you doing something else? Either way take off the seat and tail maybe then tie the bike from the subframe to something above with a strap. Would help if you have a front stand or someting to keep the front steady as well.

So someone had dropped the rear end, very silly. To be honest I would wait til the stock kit comes in as it will be a pig to ride with the rear sitting down.
