99-00 si suspension on a 88-91 crx
I plan on buying a crx and have a few quesions. I have a set of brand new tokico illuminas i never used on my 99 civic si. also, i also have my proactive coilovers and DC front and rear bars from my 99 si. will these parts fit a 88-91 crx? if not, is there a worth while way to make them fit?

'96-00 rear damper fork is too narrow to fit over the '89-91 CRX LCA bushing. I am not sure if the bushings can be swapped to make them fit (the LCAs themselves cannot be swapped due to different lengths). Also, the '88 CRX has a different rear LCA that requires different dampers.
'96-00 front dampers have a larger diameter than '88-91 CRX. To use the '96-00 fronts, you'd need to get the '92-00 lower forks that have a larger diameter. Also, '99-00 Si front lower forks cannot be used because of the different fork/LCA style used on that model. You'd need lower forks from a lesser model Civic.
No idea on the bars (I'm assuming these are strut tower braces, not sway bars).
In addition, '92-00 Civics use a slightly longer spring/damper assembly, so you may actually lose a little bit of shock travel before bottoming out if you want a lowered ride height (and shock travel is already at a premium in the '88-91 cars . . . ).
Complicated enough for you?
I'd just sell your existing stuff and buy parts specific to the CRX.

targa pretty much did a good job of describing the differences. really, its not worth it. just sell and buy the right stuff. crx stuff is cheap. youll probably make more money selling that stuff you listed.

that should help. for the 88s you can swap out the lcas to the newer ones for the different strut mount.
