Alright i know im gonna probably get flamed for this but who cares...i need help putting on my window visors for my CRX! You guys are probably thinking WTF but im serious...lol. My question is concerning the clip that goes underneath the plastic panel on the outside of the door. My question is, how do you get that clip underneath the plastic panel without breaking the panel clips off? The window visors are easy to install otherwise...all i have to do is stick it on with the adhesive and the other clips are simple. Heres a pic to show you guys what im talking about...these are for an EF9 but they're the same design:

see the clips on the end??? those are what im talkin about! If someone can help me out ASAP I'd TRULY APPRECIATE IT!!!! I just got my car running last weekend and it pains me to look at my brand new un-installed visors

This is for an EK but hopefully it'll help you get the basic concept of it.

Anyway I searched and came up with Kid1320's Access Visor install post and um lets just say I spent three hours on the first one and had to take my driver side window out to re set the lining.
Anyway here goes.

You will get two visors and um, these, and also a very detailed list of instructions... first step... um wtf there were no instructions included.
So lets start with the template.

Seems easy enough!
Virgin passenger door (NOTE REVERSE TEMPLATE DUMMIES
)

We start off by removing the moulding. Do not, I repeat. DO NOT take the moulding off further than this! (You will find out the hard way like me if you do. This top area here and in the next pic you should find holes which you want to put part SCREW 4P into BRKET B 4P
Do not use any of the washers to mount the screws. Save them for later.

This is just enough to get a screwdriver in there to mount bracket b

Here is the other screw point.
NOTE: DO NOT remove the moulding near the mirror any further than this as well.

Now lets secure our b bracket's with our supplies

Secure the other mounting brackets (F,D, and H using clip 10P) to the visor, time for a test fit.

Remove the mounting plugs, and place moulding back into window, when decently snug make sure to double check the mounting brackets are lining up with the holes on your visor. Because you will have to backtrack if you try and make it all pretty and then go to mount the visor and 2 brackets are off!

Looks satisfactory
Lets proceed.
You can take a flathead screwdriver to first push back in the bottom half of the rubber, make sure its flush with the door

Near each bracket you might want to ensure that the moulding is holding the bracket in place. Otherwise you are going to have an expensive piece of plastic dissapear off of your car while driving.

Once the bottom half of the liner is back in, take a flathead and pull back on the bottom half and then line it back up just as you saw it seperate when removing the liner.
Then take your thumb and press down (you can use any other finger of preference. My thumb was the tool of choice) and dig the screwdriver into the liner to make it flush.

Should look like this when your done!

Now you want to take The outter part of clip 10p and press it through this hole to make sure its in the bracket. Then take your washer and get it on the bottom side of the clip. Then place clip 10p pin back in its socket.

Should look like this

**** macro!

Proceed to put in the rest of the clips and you are good to go!

i appreciate the help but ive already seen that write-up! I dont have an EK so this doesnt help because they're installed totally different
Anyone else?
Anyone else?
I put some visors on my 89 hatch. I know exactly what clip you are talking about. I had to bend mine straight (so its parallel with the door glass), or u can cut it off completely. The JDM doors must have a groove for those to slip in to or something...
I'm hope you have the U.S. 88 doors with the seat belts NOT attached to the doors. If you do, then there should be three (3) screws on the back of the door where that plastic garnish is. Just like on the EG hatchback doors. so look for three screws and the garnish come off easily. the metal clip on the visors go into the gap between door glass track and the frame of the door. the plastic garnish goes right back over the metal clip and covers it up. Hope that helps

I think thats because you have them mounted to a 91 door. They dont follow the lines of non 88 doors that well. Be careful because u just might lose your investment. Case in point, a friend on mine mounted them on his 90 crx and one flew off on the freeway.

haha yeah that was my bro in law and its cause he didnt use double side tape. and i dont know about using the ef9 ones on a CRX. i dont believe they are the same. on my hatch i dreemaled the window molding pillar bar. my bro in law just pusshed them up as far as possible and bent the back bracket to customize it. so do it to your best ability. that all you really can do. goodluck and best wishes
