Default USDM H22 VS. THE JDM H22

What is the difference between the JDM H22(8200) and the USDM H22(7200RPM). Why is the redline in the JDM higher? Yes it is a stupid question ! I'm building the USDM engine, and I was just curious.

Thanks

Oh . Well thanks anyways. What is the difference between the engines then? I'm pretty much new to this whole thing. Just got my car a few days ago.

USDM 10:1 compression
JDM 10.6:1 compression
Type-S 11:1 compression slightly more agressive cams

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the JDM H22's have more aggressive cams?

I haven't heard of anyone confirming (or denying) this. So I would assume that they're similar, if not the same. The Type S cams are more aggressive, of course.

The compression is the major difference since they have slightly higher octane gasoline available as compared to the **** water we pump.
