i got oil leak, any help?

Default i got oil leak, any help?

hi guys, well i just finish putting in my b20vtec last week and it run great and since today i find out that i got an oil leak on the left side of my engine block below where vtec solinoid is at. it doesnt leak alot but still driping oil down my block. any help at all? my oil still at a cirtain level between the two dot for week now but still i can tell the oil still leaking beacause i wipe it down the oil and when i drive the car it leak again. (my set up was a b20 with a pr3 jdm head) any help?

clean it off, then while its running DONT drive it but sit there and look at it for a few minutes, but chances are its from your vtec solinoid, replace the gasket imo

It's either the valve cover gasket, VTEC solenoid gasket, or distributor o-ring. I replaced all 3 on my car, it ended up being the VTEC solenoid gasket (there are 2 of them).

seems to be very commen for the oil leaks from the solenoid there. pop the VC off and replace the gasket. pretty easy to do.

Check your cam seal too....mine was leaking in that area and it turned out to be the cam seal; replaced it with a STR cam seal and it hasn't leaked a drop since.

I had a leak next to my distributor just 2 months ago and a fresh aebs cam seal took care of it right away...
