In this picture, the pole does not fit well. It needs edited out of the shot.

It looks like there are some nice balconies that you could get some sweet aerial shots from.

iso was at 50, i was messing around with shutter speed, and aperture was at 2.6 sometimes higher.
i have the camera for about, 3 weeks now, still getting used to it.

Honestly, when you have daylight like that to work with, I'd just set the camera to auto and make them shine with Photoshop, it works really well. Manual settings are more important in low light situations, as is a tripod. I've produced some nice shots this way, and even the best photographers do this. You will hardly ever take a picture and have it look just how you want it without some touchups. Look at the awesome pictures on Jtuned.com for instance...
