burning oil at high rpm's?
The past few days I have noticed a lot of oil building up around my spark plugs (00 si, b16a2), trust me I have done a ton of research on this. I know that I will need a new valve cover gasket but my question is would this cause blue smoke or burnt oil at higher rpms 7-8000? thanks
how many miles on the motor, because mine did the same thing and i have 73000
i pulled the motor and everything is fine bearings, rings and i realized that the blow-by canistor one back of the motor the bolt came out and the canistor came off +plus the vavle where bent so that could be it. check that bolt first

could you be more specific. You say the blow-by canistor was missing a Bolt? Is this the canistor on the firewall or the piece attached to the PCV valve?
the little black metal box....
it fills up with oil vapor, so any air that has oil in it catches in that can, and drops back down into the block...
i put a scrub brush in mine to filter out some of the oil.....
thas prolly not why youre burning oil tho, do a compression test to double check ur rings....
