Default Please please help me pick one

ok guys i need some input...

i want to do my next mod.. i been thinking about cams.. but i think it's kind of headache.. i have to open my head.. obviously.. and something could go wrong with non-oem parts.. i will hate to see my valve train snap or the camshaft or cam gear slippage and all that crap..
and how reliable the motor be with cams.. and plus you have to go get it installed.. since i don't know how to put it in.. and i need more money more money on tuning....

OR

EDYNE/AIR carbon fiber intake manifold.. with my bolt ons.

and i know it's not gonna be too efficient with N/A and almost stock motor. it look cool as hell and i don't think it will hurt my motor anyhow..

the price is almost same for the parts..

rocket motor sports power package VS CF intake manifold.

i am sure the cam package will make more power but CF manifold could be nice and reliable mod.

thanks for reading and please pick one now

Me personally I would go with the cams. I'm not really into the bling thing so for the money go for the HP.

Ditch the VAFC, get a PowerFC or Hondata, and then have it tuned.

Why is it a waste of money?? I have seen dyno testing where the C/F manifold has produced damn near the same amount of power as a the ITB's expensive yes, bling yes, functional YES. That in conjuction with valvetrain and cams would be a killer setup. You should not pay more than 1500 for the manifold though, and they are somewhat rare.

Yeah, if you are gonna throw in cams, get headwork, etc, then it might be worth it. But the stock IM is not really that much of a bottleneck and the money can be used better elsewhere IMO. OF THE TWO CHOICES HE LISTED, I chose cams.

By doing cams, valvetrain modifications, and power adders doesn't that then in effect make the IM the bottleneck. At somepoint it would have to be addressed on the path to power.

Rocket Motorsports M22X cams/valvetrain. Cams include RM plugs and RM chip for your specific setup. PM'd you with pricing.

The ITR IM is very good for a stock IM. You will see way better gains with the cams than the AIR IM. Cams will be just as reliable as stock provided they are installed correctly. You do NOT need to have it tuned. The M22X's idle like stock with the RM chip.

Isn't there a big price difference between the two options?

i vote for low psi turbo on stock internals.

I would've said the AIR IM but the RM package looks attractive.

That IM is ridiculous! Jesus! I'd still go with the cams, retainers, and spring package though.
