hey everyone i just got a b16a on my coupe and i sopposedly have a 00si tranny on there..but no codes or no tags at all are on the tranny not even the vin...when im driving on the freeway in 5th gear im at 4000rpms going 80mph...on my old car (ls hatch) in 5th gear going 80 im at like 3500-3000rpms...my friend has a 98 gsr and on 5th gear going 80 he is at 4000rpms so..this makes me think..i never drove a b16 with a b16 tranny before so i dont kno the gearings and what they should be by jus driving the car..can anybody help me out on this what rpms are you at going 80 on the freeway..on 5th gear??

 

u prob got a b16 tranny. youre kinda confusing but at 80 your at 4k?

B16A2 tranny is going to be shorter than a LS or GSR tranny. 4000 at 80 in 5th is about right for that tranny. I have a '99 Si and that's what I run.
