How to take good pictures with a 300d
Just curious why you're already doing to firmware hack if you don't know how to operate the camera. Scary...
Practice practice practice, is my advice.

Tell me about it. I just got an XT, and i thought i knew about taking pics! I was wrong! READ the manual, and shoot as many things as your mind will let you.
Got my camera yesterday and i have already cleared 730 pics.
You need to shoot, shoot on different settings. Shoot in different lighting. Shoot things that you dont like to, it will teach you and might change your mind about the things you dont like to shoot.

point and click, I used codeblues 300d and I set it to auto and the pictures still came out amazing. Read the manual before you **** with it

i'm sure you've heard this before, but taking good pictures is 90% photographer and 10% gear. try out different settings to understand how they work and how they affect your pictures and you will learn from your mistakes. don't expect miracle pictures right out of the box.

Youre the man
Make sure your ISO isnt at 1600 (or 3200 if you have the hack) because that will give a helluva lotta grain. Even if you rtfm, you still need to practice. Use aperture priority to get a feel for depth of field, use shutter priority to control your blown out whites, etc. Browse some photo forums for some good info on picture composition and other techniques.

they dont seem to grainy

if u are then that might be the problem

taking pics with the flash on
