brake peddle travels to floor .......no brakes!!!!!!!!

Default brake peddle travels to floor .......no brakes!!!!!!!!

i have a 1991 civic si and i think my brake booster has gone out i just fixed my axle and i took it 4 a drive and now i got no brakes! any ideas on what might be goin on? i got a new master cylender in it ,and is it exspensive to fix?

Bleed your brakes, check for leaks. If its not that, it sounds like your master cylinder is toast.

so you just put in a new master cylinder?
anyhow its not your booster. if it were your booster you would barly be able to push down the pedal.
its probably just a lot of air in you lines. bleed all four in the right order and tell me how it is.

Agree, brick peddle=booster
Soft Peddle to the floor= Master Cylinder.

Also When bleedind, bleed FARTHEST from the mastercylinder. that means start from the rear passanger side. then drivers, then front passenger, then driver.


ALSO there could be ALOT of air in the lines. so your going to use alot of break fluid. so make sure that masterclyinder is full when bleeding and keep and eye on it.

you said you just replaced the master cylinder? did you bench bleed it?

oh, and farthest from the master cylinder is the drivers side rear, because the brake lines run up the passenger side then over.
