Tuning a F23A w/ a wideband
Hey guys, I have a 99 Accord i4 w/ T3/T04B running about 9psi (FMAX Kit). I just installed the Greddy Emanage and now I am about to install the Innovate Motorsports LM-1 w/ RPM. As far as I understand the bung for the wideband should be placed about a few inches after the bend in the DP right? Also, what a/f ratios should I be looking for?? I'm thinking:
1K - 15.7:1
2K - 14:1
3K - 13:1
4K - 12:1 - VTEC will kick in about 4200 RPMS as opposed to stock 5200 b/c the dyno showed I made 100 whp when VTEC kicked in last time I went so I had to lower the VTEC engagement point
5K - 12:1
6K - 12:1
Instead of 12:1 should I go for 11.5:1?? TIA

check out the installion section of the manual (page5)...
in boost 11.5:1 seems to be a good safe a/f.
To note the sohc vtec has a variable engagement on the f22 and f23 sohc motors. I need to grab my helm manual for the proper technical verbage if you want but... from the factory vtec can engage as soon as like 2300 and as late as about 3800, the engagement point in our sohc's changes based on what the various sensors data to the pcm. You may want to drop that engagement a bit more imo.

I was not aware that the SOHC F23A1 had various engagement points dictated by the sensors. I have a Haynes manual here. I'll have to read up on it. Any other links?
