Default B18c fuel rail/ itr manifold. Quick reply pls.

I have all but completed the ITR manifold swap on my gen1 JDM B16a. I went for a B18c Fuel rail because the on the stock one the FPR gets in the road

Now after tightening it all up I have noticed the injectors seem loose, there is too much gap. Should I remove the washers that go between the manifold and the rail? or do i need smaller washers?

Quick reply please.

Ok i removed the washers between the manifold and rail and added a few in behind, now the injectors seem fairly tight although they turn slightly if I push them.
There is no fuel leak, so i thought it should be fine does that sound right? Tell me if my car is likely to go on fire

be careful how much pressure you put on the injectors they should not be compressed I have seen problems with this if you notice most OEM setups hang injectors from one end encapsulating them as most race setups do is fine as long as they aren't compressed you should be able to rotate them easily and have a small amount of vertical movement also I usually allow .030-.060

Ok, thanks for that. Sounds like i need to let it out slightly because i can rotate them but not easily.

That's exactly what you're suppose to do when changing over to an ITR intake manifold. The injectors will turn slightly if you force them, that's normal. You're on the right track
