Default Your doubts on the H-T politics

Okay, before I write some stuff, I want to say that I´ll not flame any moderator or any "normal" user here.

The last few days some threads has been deleted, cause they were offtopic (OT). Today I posted a thread called like "Porsche is comming up with a GT1". I think this is interesting news which is INTERESTING for most ITR drivers, cause we are sports-car fans.

The most OT threads are realy interessting and sometimes realy funny and makes me lough in front of my 17inch monitor. And this is one reason I like Honda-tech. But when OT threads gets deleted, there is a thing missing.

Hell, my friends are here in the ITR forum and in the F/I forum and when I wna tto share some interessting news with the guys here, why should I post this in competition.....etc etc when I don´t like to be in other forums than ITR and F/I. Do you get my point.

My 1st Honda board was SHO and it was realy high frequented. But after the mods deleted EVERY OT-thread, SHO, especialy the "R" forum was very low frequented.

I realy don`t hope Honda tech is going slightly Super Honda Offline.

Honda-tech is ONE BIG REASON I meet SEMA in Vegas and a punch of H-T members. I´m such an Honda-fan since I own my R and h-T is a big family. And in a family there should be some other conversations than than about Hondas and ITRs

That are my 0.2 cents.

Christian *who thought twice times if he should post this*

You know what's funny (/sarcasm) is that this was a HUGE debate maybe like 6-8 months ago. There was a vote...and it appeared that the ITR forum was voted in favor of being TECH ONLY by a landslide. I don't get it...I wish more people like myself would've voted against that. We're human people. We need some OT once in awhile. I too have LMAO in front of my 17" monitor thanks to some of you guys here in the ITR Forum.

Now there's censorship...then our avatars are removed (with the exception of the Moderators/Admins)...what's next?! I realize H-T isn't a democracy, but come on. Sponsors do pay money for the ads you see above the posts here.

I miss the old H-T. I get the impression that this is the reason we've had so many regular ITR Forum members leave.

Why is it so hard to click on the Member's forum for OT stuff?

So all you have to do is get into the habit of posting OT stuff in the memberforum.
And keep the tech stuff here. That way you wont get upset when it ends up there.

B/C the member's forum is for everyone and the Type R forum is mainly for Type R owners/appreciators just a different group within a group...

I agree sho was dying slowly after that

I remeber I`ve had a flaming discussion with Rick because at sho I felt like coming home.. Well HT has ever been the TECH page and I don`t feel like home here (family) but it`s been always an excellent ´tech source..

The OT-stuff... well, I would regret to see the "laugh of the day" threads deleted or moved because life is hard enough and I need to laugh sometimes. I won`t click another section than Integra Type R because it`s the only one of my interest and I read the OT posts additional if I recognize them.

But I`m just a member far away from the US who does not know that much about tech things and posted only a few threads.... I`m glad to have found this board, OT-laughs or not.

I appreciated the humor and OT stuff now and again too and wouldn't mind see it return.

What really needs fixed IMO are the repeated posts like "what are the best brake pads, tires, <insert part>" which are daily questions that have answer which for the most part don't change day to day or even month to month in most cases. If anything, the repeated posts should be the ones that need to be moved/deleted. It would remove the redunduncy (sp?) of the titles, content, etc and really help to keep more of us interested in what's going on.

I can't tell you how frustrating it is when so nerdhead responds that he did a search and didn't find any results and you know it's not true, because you found 7+ hits on the same search covering his/her exact question. I believe they can freely respond to one of those threads or at the minimum at least read the fricken' things instead of just posting another question that's covered daily.

Sorry, I got carried away, but it's ridiculous how many repeated posts there are and they almost never get deleted and the boneheads continue to post new questions even after being told to use the search.

For those of us that Don't stray fron the ITR forum, Your missing a lot!
Your input/ knowledge would be helpful throughout honda-Tech. Consider this place not as a source of info JUST for you and fellow R owners, but as a place for vehicle enthusiasts as a whole to "share"

I post OT stuff in the ITR forum because I figure that the people I know in this forum would find it interesting. The ITR expo is technically OT. What does it have to do with a technical discussion regarding the Integra Type-R? Nothing. So those should be moved to Members Corner.

IMO, This forum should stay as it is, with a little less moving of some threads. And less censorship. And we can't bash other users anymore? Hmmm.. FUG DAN AT GODSPEED!

oops. Damn, he's still a mod of this forum

Very well said. I have made a lot of friends here as well. Most of us that have been here for a long time (ITR Forum) would enjoy and find things funny that we post...that the Members Forum wouldn't understand and you could even get flamed.

anybody who remember those days?

that is how importclassifieds was made popular

Some OT stuff is need IMO. There are some people (myself included) who don't understand a whole lot of technical stuff like how Final Drive works or how to pull an ITR motor (that's why we have D and Dave-ROR ) but if you don't like what's posted, don't click on it. I mean, who honestly cared that I blew my motor? I did and some of the NC/FL crew did, but I don't know that many other people, but it got 1000 hits. Most people were probably thinking "serves him right" but it really was OT. Some OT stuff is interesting, some is boring. It's a matter of personal opinion.

RealTypeR ~ I care.

It's cool man, I will buy you a beer or two in South Haven and we can talk about nitrous on the ITR...I've never seen that setup personally.
