Default Flashing 'S' on my Gauge Cluster?

90 EX (AT)

Driving last night I got stuck in traffic at 1am on the freeway (bumper to bumper, stop and go driving). Finally when we get going, about 10 min later, the 'green S' starts flashing.

I only using the sport/over drive when doing 55+. Should I use at other times?

Why was it constantly flashing? The only way it would quit, is when I turn off the car, and start it up again.

I thought one time issue maybe.....no. It did it again today.

That flashing is like a CEL for your transmission. I do not remember how to pull tranny codes. Search for how to do that and see what code you have.

I'll try this first.

None.

I look into that tonite. Cause it just kept flashing like a turn signal being left on.

Alright let me ask this: Are you having any drivability issues when the S light is flashing? I remember when my VSS went out the only thing that went out intermitantly was my speedo and then my S light started flashing.

I tried searching for a thread on how to pull AT codes but came up short . I am betting it's either a tranny solenoid or your vss.

I haven't even had time to disconnect to battery for 10 minutes I've been so busy, so I'm driving my 92 Accord at the moment.

But I did drive my 90 to work today. No flashing light either. Driving is fine. Steering is tight, but has always been that way.

I think I can start to hear the knock for axles. Heard this same noise when mine started to go out in my 92. Any affect on the tranny?
