I am about to do a z6 swap into my 94 cx hatch. Right now i have a magnaflow cat back echuast system on the existing engine, for the cx the stock headers go from 4 into the cat but on the z6 they are 4-2-1 stock honda headers. Do i need a universal cat to complete the exhuast system?

If you use the Z6 exhaust mani you would need an inline cat to make it "legal." The manifold will bolt up to your stock exhaust pipe with no mods and you'll have a cat free exhaust if you dont add one

 

cat = helps you breathe well outdoors .... I'm not a hippie, but cats are good

 

just reuse your stock cx exhaust manifold with the z6 swap

Hmmmmmm NO. use the z6 header.

 

so run it without a cat for awhile and if anyone asks say my resonator is my cat?
No cat= more hp?
